The 2013 Australasian Ornithological Conference was held last week. Joint Graduate School in Biodiversity and Biosecurity PhD student Josie Galbraith was awarded the inaugural Gavin Jackson Memorial Prize. This prize commemorates Australian Ornithologist Gavin Jackson and was awarded for committment to and ethusiasm for ornithology.
